6ix9ine Gets Hauled Off by Cops in New “Billy” Video

After dropping his debut mixtape Day69 in late February, 6ix9ine has finally released the video for his latest song, "Billy."

Similar to the "Gummo" shoot, the "Billy" visuals feature the Brooklyn rapper turning up on the block with his crew. The video also features a clip of 6ix9ine being removed from the shoot by police. In a section of the video, the rapper can be seen being put into a cop car by two police, although he was not placed under arrest.

Police appear throughout the video, trying to keep control of the massive crowds filming the video. At one point in the "Billy" video, cops can be seen talking with an unidentified man on the street as the visuals are being shot.

While it was originally believed that 6ix9ine was arrested by police during the making of the video, the New York Police Department eventually confirmed to XXL that the rapper was removed from the scene for his own safety and the safety of others.

"We know he's getting popular in the community... We just want people to be safe," a representative for the NYPD said. And although 6ix9ine did not have a permit to film the video, the NYPD was not interested in filing charges.

6ix9ine's debut mixtape features his hit song "Gummo" as well as a remix of the track featuring Offset. The 11-song project also includes guest appearances from Young Thug, Tory Lanez, Fetty and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
