The members of August Greene are just a couple of weeks away from releasing their debut album, and they perform for NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series this week (Feb. 21) to show off more of their collective talents.

The newly-formed group, which is compised of Common, pianist Robert Glasper, and drummer Karriem Riggins, goes through an epic five-song set list inside of the offices, tapping into their socially conscious themes. The guys perform their recently released tracks including "Black Kennedy," "Optimistic," which originally features Brandy, "Practice," which features Maimouna Youssef and "Let Go." Common also delivers a live version of his Oscar-nominated "Stand Up for Something" record, which has a guest feature from Andra Day.

August Greene is slated to drop their self-titled debut LP on March 9 through Amazon Music, and follows in the footsteps of the trio's work together on the 2016 track, "Letter to the Free." They also made their live debut as a group at New York City's Highline Ballroom last month.

While Common has worked with both members on other records previously, the three musicians have finally come together to form an official band for fans and music lovers alike.
