Rich Chigga and 21 Savage Team Up for “Crisis” Video
The James Defina-directed "Crisis" video finds Chigga and 21 lurking around in some shadowy spaces as their new collab acts as the soundtrack. In those spaces, darker bursts of colorful light shine down onto both rappers as they stand in front of a car and mouth the lyrics to the track.
On the track itself, Chigga spits about dealing with his newfound stardom. "They want me to come home/I can hear the drum roll, but understand I'm out for a reason/Living in my own home, father miss me, I know, but also he know that I'm on a mission," he raps.
In keeping with his promise to be more invested in being an artist instead of a viral sensation, Chigga produced the track by himself. Speaking with XXL last spring, the teenage rapper touched on some of his plans for his forthcoming debut project.
"This project that I'm working on, I think it's going to be an introduction to a more serious rap," he says. "There's still going to be funny stuff. When you listen to it, you might still laugh and stuff, that's cool. That's what I'm going for too. But it's not a joke. When people listen to it, they're going to be like, 'It's that real shit.'"
