A few months ago, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball effectively said Nas was outdated. On Tuesday night (Dec. 12), the mercurial point guard proved he had no aspirations to quit the game when he rocked a T-shirt with his own face on the cover of a Nas album as he entered Madison Square Garden to play the New York Knicks.

The hoodie features an image of grown-up 'Zo, so it feels like it's a reference to Nas' It Was Written album as opposed to Illmatic. Either way, it appears to be an expert troll on the part of 'Zo. Folks aren't too happy about the move, though.

Understandably, at least a few people were upset with Lonzo's latest move. "Did this Clown Lonzo Ball walk into #MSG disrespecting @Nas in NYC.... Wow.. Kids Got Balls with all that security around!!!!" said one Twitter user, criticizing the ball player's clothing choice. "Lonzo you my nigga but next time you Disrespect Nas we Sendin Z-Bo after yo," wrote another.

Lonzo might have gotten some attention for himself, but the Knicks got the last laugh. Despite turning in one of his best games of the season—he finished the game with 17 points, 8 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block—Kristaps Porzingis and the Knicks earned the 113-109 victory.

It also appears that Nas might have gotten a W too. The undeniably legendary rhymer shouted out the Knicks on Instagram shortly after the game. "Great Win Knicks!" Nas wrote in the caption for a photo of the Knicks logo.
