Spreading love is the Brooklyn way, and that's exactly what Talib Kweli does in the new video for his Anderson .Paak-assisted Radio Silence single "Traveling Light," an energetic stroll through triumphant horns and the streets of rap's most storied borough.

Directed by director-artist The Narcycist, the new visual features high-profile cameos at every corner, with Yasiin Bey, Q-Tip, Spike Lee, comedians Dave Chappelle and Hannibal Burress and more. The clip also includes shots of Kweli and company interacting with the everyday folks of BK, going everywhere from the stoop to the sidewalks to the park benches to the rooftops. It's the complete Brooklyn experience.

"The video is meant to be a day in my life highlighting how Brooklyn has changed but still remains the same in spirit," Kweli tells XXL of the visual. "The video is full of friends and family who have been on this life journey with me, with or without the music."

The song itself, which is produced by the ultra-talent that is Kaytranada, sounds like the halftime of an SEC title game. Navigating the frenetic beat, Kweli becomes a wave of light, touching upon the many subplots of an increasingly complicated world. Over the course of a few minutes, the Brooklyn native jumps from topics like corrupt politics, the evolving roles of rap stars and more. With his stream-of-conscious lyrics, Kweli sounds more interested in introducing as many ideas as possible than serving up any conclusions them.

"I'm faster than the speed of sound/Smashing through these barriers/I'm blasting out your speakers now/Travel around the planet till I landing where I'm needed now/We entertainers, they wouldn't call us leaders now," he spits on the track.

Tying the song together is 2016 XXL Freshman Anderson .Paak, who delivers one of his typically soulful hooks to Kweli's Radio Silence album. Kweli says "Traveling Light" was just one of a few tracks .Paak could have chosen for their collab.

"Anderson was given a few choices but chose this song," reveals Kweli. "My lyrics were already there so he wrote the hook around them. I think he was partial to the Kaytranada sound as well."

Radio Silence, Talib Kweli's eighth solo album, features collabos with Jay Electronica, Waka Flocka, Dirty Projector's Amber Coffman, BJ The Chicago Kid and Rick Ross. The LP is out now.
