OMB Peezy is working hard to prove himself as a rising MC in the game, and his latest freestyle might be enough to launch him upwards on hip-hop's radar. The Alabama native, who first gained recognition after signing to E-40's label, stops by Sway in the Morning on Shade 45 to spit some heavy bars for the radio personality, and he gives new fans a taste of what they can expect from him moving forward.

Peezy delivers some fast-paced (albeit old) rhymes over the instrumental, where he flexes about his newfound fame and lifestyle coming from the South. The 20-year-old rapper, who is currently signed to 300 Entertainment and just dropped his first project produced by Cardo, makes sure to show off his lyrical ability in the freestyle, which he spoke candidly about in XXL's recent interview with him.

During our conversation with the rising star, Peezy says he wants to bring hip-hop back, proving that mumble rap isn't the only way to find success in the game.

"I want to change hip-hop back to hip-hop, not just mumble rap," he explained. "Niggas don't even be talking about shit. Niggas don't be saying nothing. A video man could be trying to edit your video and don't know what the fuck to do with the concept because you ain't even talking about shit. Niggas just gon' move the cameras a couple times and point it to the sky and put some effects on that muthafucka and your video done in two days."

You can catch the freestyle from OMB Peezy around the 5:10 mark in the video below.
