Playboi Carti's joint tour with Lil Uzi Vert is over before it even started. On Thursday (Oct. 19), just one day after the two rappers' 16*29 tour was announced, Uzi announced that he's no longer headed on tour with his friend and frequent collaborator.

"Not going on tour wit carti need 2 focus," Uzi wrote in a tweet this morning. While he doesn't get more specific about what's keeping him away from the tour, he's got every right to be busy. Last month, he dropped off his Luv Is Rage 2 album. Powered by his hit single "XO Tour Llif3," the project was just certified gold, and it's probably his biggest one to date.

There's no word on what this will mean for the 16*29 tour, but there's a good chance Carti just gets someone to take Uzi's place. We'll have to wait and see.

For now, check out the out the 16*29 tour dates for yourself below. Take a look at Uzi's tweet beneath that.
