Since Hurricane Harvey struck Houston, Trae Tha Truth has been doing his best to help the victims of his home state. From rescuing victims in the flood waters to providing Texas inmates with food, Trae has done it all. Now, the rapper is using music to uplift the people of Texas.

On Thursday (Sept. 14), Trae released a video for his 2015 song "Trying to Figure It Out." While the song is over a year old, the rapper believes the record's message is perfect for today.

The video for "Trying to Figure It Out" is made up of footage from Houston post-Hurricane Harvey. The visuals showcase the effect of the storm, revealing the devastation as well as relief efforts from volunteers.

Trae Tha Truth's relief efforts began just days after Harvey struck. After being rescued himself from the flood waters, the rapper says he was inspired to help others. "I felt helpless yesterday when I had to be rescued, so I know that feeling," he told Fox 26.

His relief efforts also included setting up a GoFundMe, which has since raised $155,544, and providing inmates of the Jefferson County Jail in Beaumont, Texas with food and supplies.

Speaking with XXL, Trae called the aftermath a "stressful situation." He added, "When the dust settles, that's when it's really gonna sink in, when people have to think about what's their next move."

The rapper's efforts have also inspired others to help, including Jeezy who donated 50,000 water bottles and NBA star LaMarcus Aldridge who gave $100,000.
