When Lil Yachty began to blow up, some of his old tweets directed at rappers started to surface. In a new interview with 106 KMEL, the ATL rhymer says none of the disses were serious: he was just joking.

Keep in mind that Lil Boat is only 18 years old, so he was just 14 or 15 when he fired off some of the tweets in question. In the interview with 106 KMEL, he addresses one particular tweet from 2011, in which he stated in all caps, "FUCK JCOLE." Essentially, Yachty says he was just trolling and never thought his tweets would come to the public light.

The 2016 XXL freshman says, "Back in the day, I was heavy on saying 'Fuck J. Cole.' I don't know why. His music is so lyrical – let me clear this up. These tweets keep surfacing. I deleted them but like, they're still there. First of all, this is from 2011. I was in fuckin' 10th grade I think, or 9th grade."

He continues, "I fuck with J. Cole as a person. I don't listen to J. Cole. But I have nothing against J. Cole. I was young, and I was just talking shit – trolling. I never thought I would be a rapper. I have no issues with J. Cole or his music."

Throughout the 30-minute interview, Yachty also discusses recent collaborations with PartyNextDoor and Ty Dolla $ign. He talks about an upcoming track with Desiigner, his tour with Rae Sremmurd in October and how an ex-girlfriend once cheated on him with a nerd. He also describes how much he hated attending college.
