XXL presents 'Run This Town' with Marshawn Lynch, E-40 and Mistah F.A.B. We traveled 2,576 miles across the country to the San Francisco Bay, touching down in Oakland, Calif., one of the major port cities in the U.S. The transportation hub is also home to Seattle Seahawks running back, Marshawn Lynch, rapper-songwriter, Mistah F.A.B. and hip-hop veteran, E-40. On a chilly day in March, cousins, F.A.B. and Lynch, invited our cameras in for an exclusive tour to get a never-before-seen look at the neighborhood they grew up in, where they currently serve as externe community organizers and activist for the infamous "Ice City" projects. An area also known as the 40's section of Oakland, Calif.

Widely known for being mum to the media, when we first arrived, Marshawn, having previously done an interview with XXL (which will appear in the upcoming spring 2015 issue), casually seems to have come along for some B-Roll and to chime in on the some of his rapper cousin's jab. When we initially began rolling, he says to his kin song-writer that he's not going to be doing most of the talking during our sit-down because he's not a rapper. Marshawn Lynch in most cases dismisses interview requests, shying away from public attention. The superstar Athlete is recognized for being reluctant to talk to the media, suffering an $100,000 fine for his refusal. He became more popular when he began showing up for interviews for mere minutes and fending off questions with a variation of, "I'm just here so I won't get fined" and "You know why I'm here." Throughout our interview, the football star surprisingly opens up, thanks to the comfort of his hyphy-igniting cousin. As one can quickly affirm, there's a small circle of the elite that sprang right out of the area also known as "The Bay."

Mistah F.A.B., his cousin, is a big-time Bay Area rapper, known for kicking off the Hyphy Movement, along with local stars like E-40. With F.A.B. releasing a total of six studio albums, it's safe to say that the MC has had a prominent run within their lane of musical artistry. F.A.B. is known for classics like Son of A Pimp and also penning hits for B.o.B.'s Underground Luxury and Chris Brown's "Loyal."

Right here you'll get an exclusive look at Marshawn Lynch's first major interview, a sit down with Mistah F.A.B. and an exclusive look at their humble beginnings. You'll also travel to their grandmother's house, where they turn up a bit when E-40 pays them a visit. Buckle up and get ready to run this town with with Marshawn Lynch, E-40 and Mistah F.A.B.
