Things Get Trippy in The Underachievers’ New Video for “Star Signs/Generation Z”

The Underachievers take fans on a psychedelic trip in their new video for "Star Signs" and "Generation Z." The Yashxana-directed cut opens with Issa Gold rapping in his bedroom. Gold has an out-of-body experience, rhyming along with the track at the edge of the bed. Out of the window the sky has taken the form of outer space, which leads to AK The Savior standing in the middle of Flatbush, Brooklyn while his own conscious raps. While the galactic sky remains bright and colorful, the streets of Brooklyn are in black and white. Once color does kick in, the video switches to the "Generation Z" portion and the two rappers continue to sleep before being woken up by the beat. The video then shows the duo touring the world's biggest cities. They return back to the hood and rap amid everyone around the way, rhyming about problems with the younger generation.

The Underachievers just released their second album, Evermore: the Art of Duality last week. "Star Signs" and "Generation" are both featured on the 15-track LP. The Brooklyn duo will be hitting the road for their Evermore Express tour, which kicks off Oct. 1 in San Francisco and raps up Nov. 12 in L.A.
