This is incredible. Earlier today Stephen Colbert—former host of Comedy Central's Colbert Report and future host for CBS' Late Show—was on the Monroe, Mich's public access cable program Only In Monroe with Eminem (and you probably missed it). The interview appears to be an skit for forthcoming The Late Show with Stephen Colbert because it's hosted on their official YouTube account (which was unlisted and found by this Michigan Redditer). Detroit Free Press reports Colbert took over the MPACT studio yesterday (June 30) to film the 41-minute program, subbing for regular Only in Monroe hosts' Michelle Bowman and Kaye Lani Rae Rafko Wilson. Two of the most powerful men in entertainment and American pop culture were on a public access cable program. You can't make this up. Monroe's population is just over 20,000.

Eminem joined Colbert to promote the upcoming Jake Gyllenhaal-starring film Southpaw, which he help produced and curated its soundtrack. "Who are some of your big musical influences?" Colbert asked Em. "I imagine Motown? Ted Nugent? Obviously Seger?" The MC replied, "Bob Seger? Bob Seger's great." Colbert then names some Bob Seger to test Eminem knowledge in a sing-along quiz. The whole conversation is pretty hilarious. Watch it below.
