Scarface will give his first-ever solo performance at New York City’s storied Manhattan club, SOBs, on June 28. The show will be in support of the H-Town legend’s upcoming 12th studio album, Rooted.

“Performing at SOBs, it’s an honor man to be able to do it,” Face recently told AllHipHop. “I just know how tough that New York crowd is, man, but when I come down I get so much fuckin’ love in that city, dude, I can’t wait to do it.”

In addition to Rooted, Face also has plans to release a joint LP with Philadelphia MC, Beanie Sigel, in the near future. Sigel and Face have collaborated in the past on tracks like Jay-Z’s “This Can’t Be Life” and “Some How, Some Way,” as well as on Face’s “Guess Who’s Back” which appeared on his 2002 album, The Fix. Face reunited with another old friend, in DMX, last September. The dog brought out Scarface as his special guest, while turning in a memorable performance in Face’s native Houston. That marked one of the first performances X had after finishing a seven-month stint in prison last July.

The Geto Boys front man told AllHipHop that he has several songs already completed for Rooted. “I got some of the biggest records of my career,” Scarface said of his new material.

The southern hip-hop legend also shared plans to release visuals for the project soon, with a tentative release date set for early this summer.
