The Roots Are Guests On Their Own Show

During their tenure as the house band for Jimmy Fallon on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and now The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, The Roots have provided the background for many musical greats. Last night on the eve of the release of their dark and thought provoking new album …And Then You Shoot Your Cousin they step into the spotlight as the show's musical guests. They shared the track "Never" with some backup from DJ A-Trak and Metropolis Ensemble.

The Roots "no yes-men in the crew" ethos seems to be working. They are receiving a great deal of praise for this new project including earned an XL rating from this very publication.
