Yesterday, XXL reported that Rick Ross cancelled his dates in North Carolina due to threats by members of a Chicago-based gang called the Gangster Disciples. Now, Ross has issued an official statement in light of recent news.

Representatives from Ross told Allhiphop.com that the tour was supposed to go until December 16. However, promoters in Greensboro and Charlotte showed “apparent lack of organization and communication on the part of the tour promoter.” This prompted Ross and his management to cancel the rest of the Maybach Music Tour.

“I want to apologize to all of my fans who I missed performing for due to the cancellations and want to let them know that I will get back to their cities,” Rozay said. “I enjoyed my experience with my little bros Wale and Meek Mill and I’m ready to get back in the studio to make good music.”
