After building his buzz through a slew of EPs and storytelling visuals, Seattle’s Raz Simone is preparing to grind even harder. As the first signee to Lyor Cohen, Todd Moscowitz and Kevin Liles’ 300 label, the 24-year-old has no where to go but up.

Standout: "Don’t Shine”

And: “Cold”

Name: Raz Simone

Age: 24

Hometown: Seattle, WA

I grew up listening to: Wordless movie scores.

Most people don't know I: Have owned a handful of businesses.

My style's been compared to: People’s lives. I hear most people say my words relate to the emotions they feel but have trouble expressing.

My standout records and/or moments to date have been: The day I put my craft before everything else, and turned down large amounts of money for long stints of time to create what I love.

My goal in Hip-Hop is: Too huge to explain here in this short interview … but, in short … start a revolution, dismantle archaic social constructs/companies and make the greatest music I possibly can that connects with people’s souls; opposed to competing with other artists in the genre.

I'm gonna be the next: And only me.
