Two 2018 XXL Freshman connect. Earlier today (June 13), a new Trippie Redd and Smokepurpp collab by the name of "Crash" surfaced online, and it definitely slaps.

While this is the first time we're hearing the tune in its entirety, Trippie and Smokepurpp have promoted it through snippets they posted onto social media for months now. There's no telling when, exactly, this particular tune was recorded.

Featuring a thumping instrumental, the new track is one that finds both Trippie and Purpp playing to their strengths. For his part, Trippie lets out some of his typical bits rock-inspired crooning. Purpp, meanwhile, delivers a verse with a triple time flow, letting his confidence fly. Trippie goes first.

"I'ma crash in it/Brand new Aston Martin I'ma crash in it/Swerving, switching lanes I've been crash whippin'," belts out Trippie, whose Travis Scott-assisted single, "Dark Knight Dummo," just went platinum.

For his part, Purpp pulls up with some aggressive content while keeping his actual tone pretty even-keeled. "Niggas get left at the street light/Twin glocks on me like I'm Tupac," raps the South Florida artist.

This song surfaces just one day after Trippie was arrested on assault and battery charges in Atlanta. According to local authorities, the rapper was arrested because police found a bump on the head of a woman who accused him of beating her on the back of her head.

You can listen to "Crash" below, and stay tuned for more details on Trippie's case while you're at it.
