Skepta Collabs With Mick Jagger on New Song “England Lost”
It's been another major music year for Skepta, after he earned a big feature on Drake's More Life playlist album, and now he's teaming up with a longtime legend. Rock star Mick Jagger releases two new songs for fans, and one of them, "England Lost" has a feature from the British rapper.
The Rolling Stones lead singer drops the new record with Skepta, along with "Gotta Get A Grip," which covers the current state of politics in the United Kingdom. Jagger says that he was inspired by “confusion and frustration with the times we live in." "Right from the off when I started writing 'England Lost,' I imagined having a British rapper on the track," Jagger explains. "Skepta stepped in at a moment’s notice and I just loved what he did."
We knew that Skepta and Jagger were doing some work together, as a photo of them in the studio together was unveiled on social media earlier this month. It looks like they came together for a great cause in the end.
It's definitely been a monumental 12 months for the British MC, as he not only performed on "Skepta's Interlude" on Drizzy's project, but he also earned himself the Mercury Prize at last year's awards.
