With SremmLife 2 on the way, Rae Sremmurd turn things up a notch with their new joint, "Look Alive." Back in the lab with hitmaker Mike WiLL Made-It, the Sremmurd boys stick to the formula that took them from Tupelo, Mississippi to the top of the charts as they come through with a melodic chorus and fun lyrics over a bass-heavy instrumental. Smart enough to give the people what they want, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee keep churning out club and radio-friendly songs to party to.

SremmLife 2 is set to drop on Ear Drummer Records at some point in 2016 and explained to XXL exactly what the SremmLife mentality is all about. “Sremmlife,” Swae says. “It’s definitely work. It’s hard work, man, every day. The world is watching you, so what are you gonna do now is the question. I’m showing these kids you gotta work. You want to be in a house like this? You can get [it]. Just ’cause you from the trap don’t mean you can’t get into a house like this. Just ’cause you homeless and everything seems like you not gon’ make it, just ’cause it seems like a dream, you can get in a house like this. Look at me: I got in this house like this.”

The Southern duo teamed up with their SremmLife crew to drop the unit's first mixtape, Trail Life, back in March. Along with Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, Bobo Swae, Riff 3x, Impxt and Jace of Two-9 all pop up for guest appearances. After a hiatus, Trail Mix and "Look Alive" show that Rae Sremmurd are back to work.
