Fat Joe and Remy Ma's "All the Way Up" has us feeling like it's '04 all over again and rising Harlem MC Dave East puts his own spin on the burgeoning hit. Keeping things very much in his neighborhood, East recounts his days of listening to Terror Squad as a teen and "trappin' before James Harden could dunk." Never short on bars, the 2016 XXL Freshmen candidate shows he could be Fat Joe's successor when it comes to uptown MCs.

The freestyle continues East's habit of jackin for beats. Since the end of 2015, he has rapped over Jeezy's "Get Ya Mind Right," The Weeknd's "Tell Your Friends," Desiigner's "Panda," Drake's "Summer Sixteen" and Erykah Badu's "On and On."

East begins his Hate Me Now tour in Philly today. The Mass Appeal Records signee will also be a part of Hot 97's 2016 Summer Jam festivities as he is scheduled to perform on the Festival Stage alongside Chance The Rapper, Tory Lanez, Curren$y and more. Check out the dates below.
