New York City's hip-hop scene is alive and well as old school meets new school on "Just Rhymin." Over a looped up Black Milk beat, Your Old Droog, Styles P and Joey Bada$$ prove that when it comes to bars, NYC MCs still reign supreme.

Droog, a direct descendant of New York's Golden Age, pays homage to Rakim with his chorus while keeping the crills in his North Face jacket. The Coney Island rep can rap circles around anyone, though we could do without the gay slur. Styles, the elder statesmen of Yonkers, NY, is right at home over Milk's drums and lays down a vicious 16 that features plenty of believable threats and a shoutout to his new healthy lifestyle. Bada$$ bats clean up and continues his hot streak with lyrics to go.

Styles P has been on a tear lately, going in over beats and reminding everyone that he's still a beast when it comes to these bars. Rhyming over Fat Joe and Remy Ma's "All the Way Up," Kanye's "Real Friends" Drake's "Summer 16" and J. Cole's "Love Yourz," Pinero is on a run reminiscent of his Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Machine days.
