BJ The Chicago Kid has developed a role as the master of the hook in hip-hop. When a rapper needs a singer to deliver some smooth vocals, BJ The Chicago Kid is usually the man to call. He's worked with the likes of Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Freddie Gibbs and Chance The Rapper. And though he's put out some quality mixtapes of his own and a well-received indie album, BJ will finally get his chance to compete on the big stage in 2016 with the release of his major label debut In My Mind.

BJ has unveiled a new track off the upcoming LP called "The Resume" featuring Big K.R.I.T. It's an interesting song because K.R.I.T doesn't even rap on it. The Mississippi rapper just provides a Big Rube-style introduction for the track. "My resume speaks louder than any application," Big K.R.I.T. declares.

"The Resume" is a slow building track that see BJ employ lots of repetition and no traditional verses. BJ's looking for a special lady to hire him, but this is no regular job he seeks. "I need a job, can you hire me?" BJ sings. "Can I work that body like it's a nine-to-five? I wanna work that body like it's a nine-to-five."
