Young Thug's first entree into Top 40 radio came in late 2013 with "Stoner," a spacey, rambling cut that showcased his virtuosic vocal abilities. It seemed entirely foreign to most listeners, but tucked in the song's folds was a reference to an Atlanta mixtape star who had been largely forgotten by national audiences. "I'm back at it, Juugman voice" recalls Yung Ralph's hit single "Back At It"; Thug and Ralph had previously worked together on the latter's "Cinderella." Now, with Ralph's I Am Juugman due out Dec. 8, they team back up for "Bands," an ode to semi-responsible uses of paper currency. Complete with Ralph's trademark snarl, "foreign bitches doing dishes" and questionable approaches to monogamy, "Bands" should stand as a strong addition to your holiday season party playlists.
