Eighteen months after their last album, 15 years after Lucy Ford and 20 years since Rhymesayers was founded in Minneapolis, Atmosphere returns with a new single. "This Lonely Rose" pairs Slug with Blueprint and Aesop Rock, each of whom has worked with the venerated indie label in the past. (Blueprint is best known outside of his native Columbus for his 2005 LP 1988 and for 2011's Adventures in Counter-Culture; Aesop Rock brought his considerable talents from Def Jux to RSE at the beginning of this decade.) All three rappers are slated to perform at the Rhymesayers 20 celebration in Minneapolis, which will also feature sets from the label's vast extended family. Atmosphere are also reissuing their 2005 album, You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having, and their EP from the following year, Happy Clown Bad Dub 8: The Fun EP. The latter will include "Pretty Broad," a song that was previously available only on the International Disgrace vinyl.
