With its album Strays With Babies on the way, EarthGang drops off the project's lead single, "AWOL." Produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and Royce Music Group, "AWOL" sounds like it's been ripped straight from Aquemini-era Outkast's lost tapes. From the stripped down instrumental to Doctur Dot and Johnny Venus' lyrics and backing vocals, "AWOL" proves that new-school Atlanta isn't all about booming bass, Magic City and sippin' lean. Check out the impressive single above.

EarthGang's Strays With Rabies drops digitally on Nov. 6 and will be in-stores on Nov. 13 via Spillage Village Records. XXL caught up with the duo for "The Break" section back in 2014 where they described their style as "Greasers from the '50s met Mongolian fur trappers who sit down to have tea with Kahlil Gibran."
