If there's one thing 2015 has taught us about Lil Wayne, it's that he's not one to rest on his laurels. Nearly a decade removed from the otherworldly mixtape run that made him the unequivocal Best Rapper Alive After the Best Rapper Retired, the New Orleans native is still champing at the bit to drop more work. With his long-awaited Tha Carter V stuck in storage with the rest of Birdman's gold chandeliers, Wayne has taken to less-than-conventional routes to get his vocals out. This week, he takes to Young Money's DJ E-Feezy for the lead single from the latter's forthcoming album. "What You Sayin" has veiled shots at Weezy's former mentor, but reserves most of its wrath for the immortal doubters and inferior MCs. The Wolf of South Beach appears to feature a veritable murderer's row of contributors: the perplexingly ageless Juicy J, New York City tourism bureau chief Troy Ave, triplet enthusiasts the Migos, canine advocate Kevin Gates, social media expert Meek Mill, celebrity fitness guru Timbaland, our wealthy friend Rich Homie Quan, Fitzgeraldian social climber French Montana and America's foremost aviation tycoon, Jim Jones.
