Earlier this year, Kehlani linked up with Social Experiment frontman (and father-to-be) Chance the Rapper for a seductive song called "The Way." That cut, from her Soundcloud juggernaut of an album, You Should Be Here (each of the songs easily cracks 1 million plays, with "The Way" topping 8 million), posited the singer as a smirking, cutting voice for R&B, one unintimidated by brand sponsorships or shareholders' sensitivities. Since then, she's teamed up with a litany of acts, from the Windy City's usual suspects to a bizarre cross-section of post-hyphy Bay Area rap. In keeping with that theme, the remix of "The Way" swaps out Chance for Trey Songz, the nation's leading cause of pass codes on iPhones. Just as with the original, it's sultry, imaginative and instantly memorable, only this time you're left to wonder what exactly your significant other is doing at the gym on a Friday.
