Last month, YG was shot while recording in Studio City, Los Angeles. He and his entourage drove to the hospital--they crashed the first car, made the trip in a second--and the Def Jam rapper seems as if he'll make a full recovery. With that in mind, YG turned around and used his hospital bed to position his sophomore set (tentatively called Still Krazy) and to declare, "I'm hard to kill." This is the Los Angeles to which he and his longtime cohort DJ Mustard welcomed Gunplay. The trio teamed up for the Miami rapper's single, "Wuzhanindoe," off of his Def Jam debut, Living Legend. Filmed just a few days before the shooting, the clip traces dice games and oscillating fans through a sweltering South Central, where the heat and police force are equally oppressive. "Wuzhanindoe" sounds like it could have appeared on YG's masterful 2013 debut, My Krazy Life; fortunately, his Miami partner injects some reckless present-tense into the proceedings. Living Legend is out July 31.
