David Banner and Big K.R.I.T. team up for "My Uzi." This is the first single off Banner's upcoming studio album, The God Box.

Banner and K.R.I.T. keep it real on his latest cut, rapping about staying true to the grind despite hardships. They even turn the bars on to society, touching on the recent social unrest the country's facing, including the Mike Brown shooting and the Baltimore riots. The record is produced by Banner himself, which explains why the bass goes so hard. Banner flips Pimp C's lyrics from the late MC's verse on "Suicide Door" into a sick sample. The dope beat doesn't take away from David and the K.R.I.T.'s rhymes, as they hold on to their uzi and "Pray to God [they] stay protected."

"My Uzi weigh a ton/Pray to God I stay protected/High alert, I see jackersng on the creep in my reflection/Lord, ain’t nothing been promised lately/Police out here acting crazy/Shooting up black folks left and right/People out here die every night," raps the former XXL Freshman.

The best part of the track comes around the four-minute mark, when composer Jon Debney flexes his ability to captivate you with instrumentals right before the hook repeats itself. Check out "Uzi" above and peep K.R.I.T.'s Freshman freestyle below.
