Listen to iLoveMakonnen Feat. Key!, “Straight Top”

iLoveMakonnen's drowsy flow and slurred melodies make him one of the more intriguing artists of 2015 or an annoyance depending on who you ask. Wherever you stand on the Makonnen spectrum, it's undeniable that he has that "it" factory and can make even the most mundane subject matter interesting. On "Straight Top" Makonnen is joined by fellow ATL scenester Key!. Over Sonny Digital production, Makonnen and Key! show their unorthodox styles that have them on the forefront of Atlanta's booming scene.

The duo have been on the Loudest of the Loud tour together and swung through NYC in late April. Stopping in both Manhattan and Brooklyn for shows, cameras captured the behind-the-scenes moments, including the tense time before the singer/rapper hits the stage; to riding around the city in preparation of the show; to stopping by Rockstar to play Grand Theft Auto with fans. Makonnen seems like a pretty relaxed guy in every scenario. Check it out below.
