You want to know how much times have changed? The man who made "Shake Ya Ass" is doing straight-up funk numbers on Saturday Night Live. Mystikal's naturally frenetic presence always has had a funky quality, but now we're not just tracing the dots. His funk bend has him churning out some of the best material of his career four years after his jail release.

"Feel Right," a track with Mark Ronson, is the latest example. One of Mystikal's best charms is his unpredictability, and that mercurial style is here as he laces his grooves with yelps, shimmies into stream of consciousness conversations (with himself?) and droppng quotables ("Don't let me light my butt!") as the guitars slides along. At 45, the thrill isn't gone.
