Disclosure's "Latch" featuring Sam Smith is something of a modern classic. The club jam is at the downslope of its popularity, but like ScHoolboy Q's own "Studio," it's prone to a remix like every other song that's a DJ essential. ScHoolboy Q tries to fit within the EDM euphoria in his remix to latch.

The remix doesn't change much; you still get Sam Smith channeling Black gospel and the untouched pleasures of the hook. ScHoolboy Q simply slides in here toward the end to speak on simpler pleasures: "You shine like the first day of school/ Got me some weed if you're cool on the booze/ Lay on the couch while I drool on your boobs." It's Sam Smith who's interested in losing himself to romance. ScHoolboy Q doesn't have time for all of that.

The UK-based Disclosure hasn't been too far apart from the States' hip-hop community. Bishop Nehru worked with the duo and they'll contribute to Mary J. Blige's new album, The London Sessions.
