J. Cole Responds To Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” On Justin Timberlake Remix

J. Cole ft. Trey Songz “Can’t Get Enough” Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011)

It’s been quite some time since Kendrick Lamar shook up hip-hop with his name-dropping verse on Big Sean’s “Control.” One of the names he dropped was that of North Carolina spitter J. Cole, who has now responded with a verse of his own.

Cole, along with Pusha T and A$AP Rocky, is featured on the remix of Justin Timberlake’s “TKO.” On his verse, he talks about “Control” and how everyone—even his mama—wondered how he would react to it. Despite mentioning the track, Cole never really take shots at Kendrick and instead seems to be talking to a female on the verse.

Officer Self Hatred… J Cole has been doing his WDMC tour in Europe, he’s probably hoarse, but you can still hear him loud and clear. He is the greatest.

this is in no way a response to control…..

    BOOM

  • Trey Arline

    A$AP>Pusha>Cole.

Cole’s was so damn all over the place and some of the lyrics were so dumb I couldn’t take it seriously. I can’t believe that he was the first person Kendrick mentioned and THAT’S what he brought to the table. Nice flow though.

  • O>O

    Cole was on Drakes flow…

    • Truth

Migos invented that flow, not Drake. Drake just used it on the remix. Listen to the original Versace.

The her/shes were Hip Hop. He’s done a lot for the game. But if y’all still don’t believe it’s fuck y’all. Can’t blame him though. Men will stand with or without support.
