Lupe Fiasco Releases Epic “Peace Of Paper/Cup Of Jayzus” Track

Lupe - Peace Of Paper:Cup of Jayzus

Lupe Fiasco hinted at a mysterious song called “Peace Of Paper/Cup Of Jayzus” back in August by releasing some cryptic notes, but now the track is here and it’s a big one. Stretching out to almost the seven minute mark, the song finds Lupe spinning a complicated web of words packed with references to Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Kanye West, Odd Future, Drake, Common, Mos Def and more. The track also finds Fiasco acknowledging his critics when he raps, “Critics say I fell off/I acknowledge a slip/But what you call falling from space into a bottomless pit.” Check it out above.

To this day I still haven’t listened exclusively to every Lupe album but some how he’s 1 of my favorite all-time lyricist…PERIOD. If rappers got paid by how dope they’re lyrically and musically then dude would have Hov money no doubt.
