Doley Bernays is a rising Bronx rapper blessed with the ability to paint vivid pictures of street life. Where newcomers these days benefit from co-signs, Doley has gained the approval of his peers through sharp hustler’s tales that have built his reputation from the ground up.

“Bad Guy” was released a few weeks ago where Doley told us the inspiration behind it was to represent the BX while musically pushing the bar. The video, directed by Kwaze “Scriptz” Fraser, uses scenes of Doley rolling with his crew around uptown, and a rare clip of Tupac to prove he has both feet planted in his hometown. This is an indication that the young MCs coming up continue to thrive with realism that’s relatable.
