Queen Latifah Is Fine With The Statement She Made At The Grammys

Queen Latifah is no stranger to questions about her sexuality but that didn’t stop her from making a bold statement when she helped marry some same sex couples during Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Grammy performance of  “Same Love.”

In her recent interview with JET she expressed the pride she took in that Grammy moment. "It was a beautiful moment and not a political decision… I knew it would make a statement and I'm fine with the statement it made," said Latifah

This is not the rapper turned actress’ first tie showing her support to the gay community. In 2012 she was the guest of honor at the LGBT Pride Festival.
