Damn things are definitely movin’ up for saafir from cancer to releasin’ a new album last year (”good game: the transition”) now he’s back at the movie thang once again..

Saafir was in Menace 2 Society. He played “Harold” who was “Kane’s” cousin who got shot in the head during the carjacking scene.

“Lil Sneak” was born Marcus Wilson in Chicago, Illinois on August 11, 1987 to Melissa Wilson and Conrad Crockett (aka “Rad”), both of whom were members of the notorious Gangster Disciples. Marcus moved in with his grandmother, Georgia Crockett, when he was just eight years old. At age thirteen, Marcus moved in with his father.
In Marcus’ words, “While living with my father, he showed me how to survive in the streets, and taught me the morals that I would need to survive in life. When I turned sixteen, I realized the situation my mother and father were in, and I also realized I had been given a true talent from GOD – the skill of rapping since the age of nine. To me, this was my chance to make a difference and break the family cycle of gang banging and drug dealing.
“During my teen years, I tried the lifestyle and finally figured out that being in the streets was not something I wanted to do. I knew I had to make a change in my life. Once I did that, music was the only thing that I had.
“In 2005, I moved to Houston, Texas to try to build a relationship with my mother and my siblings. During that time I found a new family in Power Moves Management, where I met Shrita Ward. For the past year, she has looked out for me like a mother, and has shown me things in life from a different perspective.
“Having grown up in a gang environment, I knew with all certainty that I wanted my life to be different. While in Texas I met a few people who at first I thought were my friends, but in the end I found a true friend in Sanyika (aka “Lil Monster”), who is the son of ‘Monster’ Kody Scott. Soon we both discovered that it was time to let our peers see that you don’t need to be a gang banger or sell drugs to survive in life.”

“Lil Monster” was born Sanyika Kashir Shakur Scott in Los Angeles, California on January 6, 1988 to Regina and Sanyika Scott (aka “Monster” Kody). Sanyika moved from Los Angeles to Houston, Texas in the fall of 1997. Attending school on the northwest side of Houston, Sanyika changed schools many times because of his mother’s fear for their lives.
In Sanyika’s words, “By the time I was in the fifth grade, I had my mind set I was going to be in the entertainment business. My focus right now is to change the mind frame of young men today.
“My father, ‘Monster’ Kody, was one of the most notorious CRIP members in South Central L.A. Seeing my father once portrayed a negative life, I vowed that I would always bring a positive light to the entertainment business and my family name.
“Living in the new millennium and being surrounded by gang activity, I feel that I can bring unity between all my peers. And my first act of unity began when I hooked up with “Lil Sneak” (aka Marcus Wilson), son of another notorious gang member from Chicago.
“Our first movement is our album which is called, “The Come Up.” This album is based on our dad’s lifestyles and what we want to tell others about those experiences. The second movement is a film also called, “The Come Up.” We believe that because both of us were raised by fathers who were gang members and how we learned to survive in a negative atmosphere, that we have a message as young adults that is positive and constructive. We will send that positive message in our lifestyle and careers
