XXLMag.com has learned that DJ Green Lantern will be teaming up with dead prez for the third installment of the duo’s independent mixtape series, Turn Off The Radio. Unlike its predecessors, Turn Off The Radio and Get Free Or Die Tryin’, Pulse of The People is an actual LP set for release on June 23 on Green Lantern’s new label, Invasion Music Group /Boss up Inc.
The LP doesn’t mark the first time Stic.man, M-1 and Green worked together. The disc comes after their 2006 collaboration “Impeach The President.“ More recently, they toured together on last summer’s “Rock The Bells” concert series.
Pulse of the People will be going “green” in more ways than one—boasting sustainable packaging. As for guests, it’s set to feature appearances from Chuck D, Bun B, Styles P, K’Naan, and Johnny Polygon. It will be produced entirely by the Evil Genius. - Devin Chanda
