Flavor Flav is headed back to your TV screen for a new horror-inspired series called “Nite Tales,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Described as “Tales From the Crypt” meets “the Twilight Zone,” with Flav playing a similar role to the Cryptkeeper, the show plans to premiere this year on an unnamed cable network.
“Nite Tales” was originally a BET movie that aired on the network last Halloween. Directed by Deon Taylor, the program will also include fans in the creative process by having a contest online to choose Flav’s character’s name.
Flav’s career as an entertainer has been enjoying a resurgence as of late. After experiencing huge success with his “Flavor of Love” reality franchise on VH1, the Public Enemy hype man scored a sitcom on MyNetworkTV last spring. – Elan Mancini
