i think musically its great that he’s doing this and pushing himself as an artist!!

but maybe he’s going the wrong way about doing it when his main genre is hip hop.

i think it will alienate a lot of the people that aren’t die hard kanye fans, but do buy his albums.

i do definately think he should have a go at a more mainstream market, especially when moneys harder to come by, but maybe he should have given the songs to a pop artist, instead of maybe ruining his credibility as a rapper

I’m all about music artists pushing forward and experimenting with their sounds. Hell OUTKAST is always evolving… But I won’t lie, people are getting sick of that auto tune bullsh*t. That mechanism is a quick out for rappers or sub par singers who CAN’T SING.

Fuck this nigga. I’m tired of dude. He’s the most overrated, corniest nigga to ever get props. He’s a good artist. Good producer. Good. Not great. Not capable of making “the most incredible album you’ve ever heard.” None of that. I think every rapper fro Jay-Z to Lil Wayne to T.I. even 50 Cent wants to sing auto tune gives them the confidence to sing even though they really can’t match the skills of
Ne-yo, Jamie foxx or usher. It kind of like how most white people want to rap even though few can.

I’m a die-gard Kanye fan but I will not be buyin this album. I just cant do it. I’m all for “musical creativity” and all that shit but i’m a hip-hop fan and this shit just aint hip hop. hopefully its just a phase, he’ll put this shit out, then he’ll be done w/ it and he can get back to hip-hop.

I don’t hate on Ye but like people said.. this album ain’t gonna be that great. I know he’ll have some good tracks on it because Ye does know how to make some good music but recently.. This auto-tune stuff is goin way over the top.

Here is the deal this music he is doing he should not promote to the hip-hop audience because it not traditionally hiphop. It can’t be called experimental because it is 808 and claps that have been used a million times and the song writing is solid. The Auto-Tune thing is played out but ye does it well. I think he needs to stick with the URB/pitchfork media audience because this isn’t hip-hop.
