Bun B is scheduled to produce a tribute at the Ozone Awards honoring his late partner-in-rhyme Pimp C, it was announced.
The respected MC has recruited OutKast’s Big Boi, Too $hort, 8Ball & MJG, David Banner, and Webbie and Lil Boosie to participate in the ceremony.
Pimp C passed away last December after complications from a sleep apnea condition combined with a large dose of Promethazine/Codeine.
In addition to a tribute performance, the late rapper will also be recognized by an award named in his honor. The Pimp C Award notes rappers who are outspoken, much like the the UGK star. Kanye West and Lil Wayne are among the nominees for the award.
The Ozone Awards take place August, 11 in Houston, Texas—Anthony Thomas
