I was actually in vip at Love nightclub the night LeBron got the DJ to play Jay-Z’s diss track “Blow The Whistle”. It is hilarious but definitely has truth to it…They played the track over and over again, and even though I’m from Washington DC, I couldn’t help myself but to party to the song because it’s Hova! LeBron actually gave my friends and I the heads up that the track was about to get some spins by the DJ. Probably excited about our enthusiasm for the tracks punchlines, he bought us numerous drinks and bottles of Ace of Spades which cost a $1,000.00 dollars a piece in the club. I have much more respect for LeBron after that night!

While I read not only this article, I have no choice but to laugh but also to shake my head at the same time. First and fore most I have no favorites, I have no biased. I simply enjoy watching a game of basketball and I enjoy listening to Jay-Z, Soulja Boy, or who ever it is at the moment. What I see is two young professional black men working hard to provide a living for themselves, a living that most people in the world will never experience. For that I am proud and I applaud them. The proper thing for Lebron to do is exactly what he did, don’t respond with words, go out the and settle it on the court. He took a worng turn when he brought in a third party as did Stevenson, I feel if we all can put our emotions aside, you can see where I am going with this. Jay-Z and Soulja boy rap. Thats great, more power to them. Deshawn and Lebron play ball, do your thing fellas. It is nothing more nothing less than that. Just go out the and play hard, the rest will take care of itself. I enjoy the NBA, but this whole scenario is so childish. The Wizards should just chalk this up as something that seemed like a good idea at the time to go late eighties Pistons on Lebron, but they should have remembered that the league has changed since then. I remember a playoff game where Barkley and this dude from the Bucks (Phil Mokeski, I think) swung and connected on each other during the 3rd quarter of a playoff game. They were separated by the teams, and then they kept playing. I don’t even know if they received technicals. Neither one went to the bench. That doesn’t happen anymore because of how unwatchable the Pistons and Knicks made those games back then. I haven’t watched this series because I like seeing NBA players do things I can’t, and the “aggressive foul” technique employed by the Wizards has made me lose interest.

Oh, and while I understand the motivation for making this diss record, it was just as lame as the Wizards trash talking. I hope that the Cavs close these guys out ASAP so that we can just move on.
