as an avid listener of hip hop from way back in 1977 when it first began i see the financial advanment of my people on a whole where it was once said hip hop would not last. just like rock and roll it turned a new error in the music industry. the creativeness of afro americans is at it’s height while we listen to stories and fables of the lives and thoughts of individuals. most people forget or don’t even know how or why rap evolved, or what profound effect it has on the black community as a whole. not every rapper is gonna make it to fame and success, but for those who do they carry the weight of the who afro american society on their shoulders. some people just want the money without the fame some want both, but one thing rap was not about when it first started was bickering about who does what or has what or who got beef. initially rap was about peace getting the violance of gang wars off the streets. people sharing eachothers turf in one common sense partying. relaxing, harmony.
