Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez are gearing up to go bar for bar after going back and forth on social media on Monday (Nov. 19), with the latter proposing his suggestion on how to best handle the situation.

After the Love Me Now rapper claimed Massachusetts lyricist isn’t on his level during an Instagram Live session, Lucas decided to settle it once and for all in the form of a classic rap battle.

“if your so confident my guy, let’s pick a beat,” he wrote on Instagram, reposting a clip of Lanez claiming to be a better rapper than him. “you spit your hardest bars over it and il do the same. Wel let the people decide who ain’t fucking with who. Then we will pick a date and time and you present your version and I’m present my version. Same exact beat so it’s fair.”

Lucas then sounded off with a warning message for the rapper if he rebukes the battle, referring to him as a comedian.

“if your not willing to step up and accept my proposal then don’t ever say no silly shit like ‘bar for bar Joyner Lucas ain’t fucking with me’ ever again in your life,” he continued, adding a series of emojis to reinforce his point. “tag the comedian @torylanez 😭 I love the confidence but stop it bro.”

Lanez promptly responded on wax the next day (Nov. 20), issuing a new freestyle utilizing the beat for Lucas’ collaboration with Eminem “Lucky You.”
