Mac Miller's untimely death has struck a chord with many people in the rap community, even those who never got a chance to work with the talented Pittsburgh rapper. Travis Scott recently paid homage to the late MC with a new freestyle after apparently feeling the spirit during one of his shows.

The Texas rapper performed in Las Vegas on Saturday night (Sept. 22). During a break in the action, he dropped some freestyle bars in the Swimming rapper's memory. "It's the superstar boy, Malcolm, that's my boy/Mac Miller, I love you, always be my boy," he rhymed with the help of Auto-Tune. "From that 412, yeah/From that 41210, yeah/It's that superstar boy, superstar boy/Mac Miller, you the one, we love you, fucking boy/That's my muthafuckin' nigga/Mac muthafuckin' Miller."

After the tribute, La Flame rolled into a rendition of the SZA collab "Love Galore."

Travis is one of several artists who have publicly paid their respects to Mac Miller following his surprising passing including J. Cole, 24 Hours and Childish Gambino.

Macklemore recently shared a heartfelt message about Mac on social media. "You reached out to me at times when others didn’t," he noted. "You were human. And we shared the same disease. A disease that is out to kill us, and when left untreated eventually will."
