Coolio is a free man after being let off of his probation a year early. TMZ caught up with the rapper as he was leaving a Los Angeles County court following a hearing for his gun case.

"It's behind me. I just was released from probation right now," Coolio revealed.  "I'm just ready to live out the rest of my life peacefully and productively." When asked if he had any advice for others, the rapper said,  "Be careful. Pay attention to what you're doing and don't be doing dumb shit."

The "Gangsta's Paradise" rhymer was arrested on Sept. 17, 2016 at the Los Angeles International Airport after attempting to get a gun past the security checkpoint. The weapon was reportedly in a book bag that belonged to an associate of Coolio but witnesses say it was in the rapper's possession.

During an October 2016 hearing, Coolio was charged with possession of a concealed weapon and pleaded guilty to the charge. He was given three years of probation and 45 days of community service.

"The situation is, if you stay out of trouble, then this case can be reduced to a misdemeanor, 'cause it's a wobbler, and at the end of your probationary period, your attorney can come to court and ask for it to be taken off your record, which is called an expungement, so your record can be clean," a judge said at the time.

It's currently unknown why Coolio's probation was cut a year early.
