Chance The Rapper returned to Wild 'n Out on the season premiere episode on Friday (Aug. 17) and put on a memorable performance, facing off with the show's host Nick Cannon on multiple occasions.

Friday night, the long-running show returned for its 12th season. With its premise being to get the best of one's opponent via the most vicious disses, the jokes aren't always for the faint of heart. Ask Azealia Banks.

With Chano as a special guest, the Windy City rapper held his own in the various competitions, notably calling out Nick for his role in the highly-criticized 2015 film Chi-Raq, a fictional tale about real-life violence in Chicago that was canned by critics.

"DJ D-Wreck, you gon' give him a bell and I like that/But seriously, you and Spike Lee can't ever come back to Chiraq," Chance rapped, drawing laughs from the crowd and Cannon.

Nick countered later on in the competition with his own jokes about the Spike Lee-directed film. "You my man, black/But that last rap was worse than my performance in Chi-Raq," he rhymed.

Later on, Chance and Nick faced off in an epic one-on-one. The show ended with Chance and Reeseynem performing their new single "What's the Hook?"

Following his appearance on the show, Chance offered some kinds words about his experience on Twitter. "I can’t thank Nick Cannon enough for creating and KEEPING an incredible and legendary platform for young comics musians actors and creatives of all sort to come shine and have good time while doing it," he typed. "Thats a real dude an its an honor every time to be up there with him #wildnout."

The new season of Wild 'n Out will also feature appearances from Azealia Banks, BlocBoy JB, Denzel Curry, Lil Baby, Rae Sremmurd and more.
