2015: Revered rapper, Young Ready, born Shannen Hudson, was fatally shot in Bogalusa, La. on a Tuesday afternoon. According to multiple reports out of Louisiana, the burgeoning Bow Entertainment owner was killed alongside 28-year-old Jare Stevenson in the city limits, about 100 miles east of their native Baton Rouge. According to fans of the rising star, Young Ready was a staple in hometown clubs and was steadily becoming the next big thing out of the city, home to rap greats like Boosie and Kevin Gates.

Details on this case have remained rather scarce since authorities never apprehended a suspect. Police did share one victim died from multiple gunshot wounds, while the other was killed by a single bullet while seated in the front seat of an SUV. Both were pronounced dead on the scene, according to The Times-Picayune.

Young Ready's Street Laws project from 2013 raked in the numbers on Spotify, with tracks like "Get Ya Mind Right" featuring Mista Cain and B Real having been streamed over 26,000 times. He also collaborated with Gucci Mane and Yo Gotti in the past. Other notable tracks include "It's Up There," "I Need a Bail," and "What You Been Thru."

Ready's label, Bow Entertainment, was home to artists Lit J, Herbie, T-Dub, Herbie, Young Crucial and more.

Rest in peace, Young Ready.
