There have been a number of rappers who have stopped using their drug of choice recently, for one reason or another. Buzzing Atlanta rapper Lil Baby is joining the club.

The "Southside" rapper sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club on Friday (May 18), as part of his press run for the new project Harder Than Ever. While there, he talked about a number of topics including the new release, how he got into the rap game and kicking his serious lean habit.

Lil Baby tweeted earlier this month that he's been lean free since April 18. He expounded on his journey with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee. "I used to be on lean heavy, live five, six ounces a day," he says, around the 6:55 mark. "That shit start fucking with me. Like, reading different, talking different, feel different, like, everything."

It also caused a change in his physique. Since quitting the drug, he's seen the affect on his body. "At like two months of not drinking lean, I lost 20 pounds. That shit serious," he adds.

Fredo Santana's death was also a moment that hit home for Lil Baby, as the Chicago rhymer's lean use was suspected to be a factor in his passing. "I don't know him or nothing, but I kind of felt that when I saw that," he adds. "Then they were saying it's something like lean. That was big."
