The separation between Logic and wife Jessica Andrea grew one step closer to becoming official on Thursday (April 19) after Logic filed for divorce from his wife of two years.

According to a April 20 report from TMZ, the Bobby Tarantino II rapper submitted the documents on Thursday in Los Angeles with the papers revealing their separation date as Feb. 3, 2018. In the documents, Logic cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. The rapper didn't list any shared properties between the two and made no mention of spousal support.

News of Logic and Andrea's split broke in mid-March when TMZ reported the two were calling it quits. Shortly after, the former couple shared a lengthy joint statement addressing the breakup. “After two years of marriage, we have come to the loving conclusion that we are much better as friends. As entertainers, we have made every aspect of our lives public, yet we would appreciate your respect and privacy on this issue,” the statement reads.

"It’s very simple: it just didn’t work out. There is no anger involved. No fighting, no cheating, no nothing," the statement continues. "We love each other and will continue to support each other for the rest of our lives."

The two added that there was no bad blood between them. "There is no anger involved. No fighting, no cheating, no nothing. We love each other and will continue to support each other for the rest of our lives," the statement reads.

Up next for Logic, the rapper is preparing for his Bobby Tarantino Vs. Everybody Tour. Kicking off on June 8 in Boston, Logic will be joined by Kyle and NF on the 33-date trek. Stops on the tour include shows in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston and more.
